Changes

Climate change is a global phenomenon that largely impacts urban life. Rising global temperatures causes sea levels to rise, increases the number of extreme weather events such as floods, droughts and storms, and increases the spread of tropical diseases. All these have costly impacts on cities’ basic services, infrastructure, housing, human livelihoods and health. At the same time, cities are a key contributor to climate change, as urban activities are major sources of greenhouse gas emissions. Estimates suggest that cities are responsible for 75 percent of global CO2 emissions, with transport and buildings being among the largest contributors.

Project Areas

Only with a coordinated approach and action at the global, regional, national and local levels, can success be achieved. It is essential, therefore, to make cities an integral part of the solution in fighting climate change.

The changes that are expected to occur with the construction of the Bandung Permaculture are as follows:

Bandung Permaculture Goals:

Reduce emissions and stabilize levels of greenhouse gases (greenhouse effects) that trap heat in the atmosphere

Bandung Permaculture Objectives:

Building Sustainable Education Facilities.

Build the facilities and infrastructure needed to implement sustainable education.

Developing Sustainable Education Curicullum for Children, Teenager and Communities.

Create a sustainable education curriculum that can be integrated with the national curriculum and is easy to understand.

Establish Bandung Permaculture Class.

Organize training, educational classes, awareness workshops, meetings, and other outreach activities.

Implement Sustainable Integrated Farming in urban environments

Carry out sustainable farming using urban permaculture, and the use of pesticides and natural fertilizers from the results of anaerobic fermentation of kitchen organic waste (Local Microorganisms and Eco Enzymes).
